P.O.O.P.I.E. Post

While I've been on this decorating jag the last few days, ....weeks, ....months, ....OK, really since we moved here in March - I've been traveling around the entire blog world to find decorating blogs to inspire me (and make me feel better about my own addiction.)

There are some major, gorgeous, upscale decorating blogs out there, only I could never duplicate any of their ideas ($$$$$)- so I started looking at regular ol' blogs and I found the Nesting Place (actually...I think my Blog Researcher, Jodi, found it for me. It's so great to have friends to do all those small, pesky, time consuming, details of life for you, isn't it? :) I don't deserve her, I really don't!)

So, today on the Nesting Place, readers have the unique opportunity to be a P.O.O.P.I.E. - (that would be, People Opposing Objectionable Pretend Plants In the Environment). Get your minds out of the toilet, people!

The Nester wants us to leave a link to a post that contains pictures of artificial or real flowers. She's on some kind of campaign against tacky looking artificial flowers. (See, the problem with that is the people who actually have the tacky looking flowers...they don't know it. They think plastic looks good. And real.)

So, even though I'm sorry to say I think her campaign is a lost cause, - I just happen to have 100 or so pictures of my house ready to show (off). So, I'm game.

Go to her blog to see lots more P.O.O.P.I.E. (I'm telling you, I completely and totally crack myself up on a regular basis. I feel like I'm in jr. high again. I really do!)

Can you tell which of the following plants are real - and which are not?

If you got it right, you should have found 4 real and 6 incredibly realistic looking, very tasteful, yet "simulated" (as opposed to fake, bogus, or artificial and tacky)plants and flowers.

And because I know you can't get enough of these....Here are some updated pictures of our sextuplets. (Remember, one - or two or three- of these could be yours in a few weeks!)

Your fakes are awesome! I had fun trying to decide which was which. But I truly can't get enough of those kitties! How wonderfully cute.

And what kind of famous person are you that you have a special blog researcher person?! Lucky you! That is so awesome.

Emily, I guess I need to be more careful with my sarcasm if I'm going to be luring people who don't know me to my blog.

I am No One Famous. (I'm sure my friends are never going to let me live this one down...) and Jodi is just my blog-reading friend who sends me links (like The Nester) to wonderful blogs.

1,6,7,8,9,10 - not living. All are lovely.

The kittens are soooo cute!

For the longest time I didn't have any plants in my house. I just bought two and they really make a difference!

Dear Famous Princess,
Tell Emily that not only do you have a Research Asst. you also have a Blog Guru who makes all your stuff purty!!!

No fair putting pix of sweet little kitties on your blog. That will get you WAY too many points...I protest!

I couldn't tell which plants were fake and which ones weren't. My highly objective, critical eye must be on the 'blink' (bad pun...but funny!).

I'm leaving now to check out the P.O.O.P.I.E.!

I guess being from a potty-humor family (don't let all of my mom's home-schooling friends know that...she may be embarrassed about that!) I probably find more humor in P.O.O.P.I.E. than you do! So funny.

I love all of the plants. I think a bit of green in each room adds a lot (as long as the plastic green leaves aren't too shiny).

Now I gotta go back and try to find your arm!

Ok, unless it's your hands in the kitten pictures than I totally don't see it! If I weren't restricted in my bloggy-time today (I have a new house to set up too! Wahoo!) then I'd go back and spend way too much time looking again. Can somebody else please do the work for me?

Kittens!!!!! Oh my gosh you could do an entire blog with just photos of kittens that tiny and I bet it would be so popular!

It could be called daily kitten? Run it by your blog researcher--maybe she knows if there already is one.

Ok, you've totally nailed me on the lost cause part. Now you feel my pain!

Thanks for playing!

Nope, Kelley, it's definitely an arm...An arm that's pretty much invisible to the human eye, unless it's a photographer human.

Even I had to magnify the picture to find it, and Lea had already mentioned the exact picture to me.

You know what I think the problem is? My arms are just too dang skinny (cough:cough:lie:lie).

Here's a hint for you, Kelley (because I don't want you blaming my blog for your procrastination in setting up your new house) -
Think columns.

PS, I need you to hop back over to my place {at my regular, not decorating blog} and relink directly to this post so that in a few days poopies will still be able to find this post!

Thanks so much--great writing too--love the attitude!
