Just getting this out of the way, folks....

Being a 'woman of her word' can be such a drag sometimes. And humiliating to boot. But I'm thinkin' it would be even more humiliating to do this in February or March.. So, here is the Christmas Tree picture I promised to show you. Remember? This is the Huge Asymmetrical Christmas Tree, the Perfect Huge Tree that we found for our First Christmas in our ginormous living room.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look all that big in this here picture. I hate to complain about my camera (again...), but it doesn't seem to be giving an accurate view of things.

The next picture is a case in point.

Oh, Did I forget to tell you I was 8 feet tall? This picture makes me look like a female, white, non-athletic, blond Shaq. But the pjs are cute, aren't they?! Jacqueline knows I love flannel pjs, but not the old lady kind. These are from Victoria's Secret, which is not normally what you think of when you think flannel.

Molly - looking all natural and candid-like for the camera. What can I say? The girl just hates to have her picture taken.

Here's me and the HOH, opening our annual coupon cards from our poor kids. This year I got certificates for 17 backrubs and a car wash (that expired shortly after I opened it.)

Don't you love my husband's holiday finery? At least I had the good sense to put on a pink boa for the occasion. Would you believe I also had about 10 more boas stuffed under my fleece vest? What do you mean it just looks like I'm fat? I told you there was something wrong with my ##/! camera.

The next picture is of a homeless guy we invited in for Christmas morning. That's just like us, you know. Always thinking of the less fortunate.

(The fact that he looks like our son, Hunter, is totally a coincidence.)

And lastly, here's shy little Molly again - wearing the hat that her brother Alex knitted her for Christmas. It even has cute scalloped edges. I might try to see if I can trade her an (expired) car wash for it.

my first thought at the christmas tree was "the picture doesn't do it justice" and then you typed it! see, great minds think alike even 1000 miles away (but i didn't think you looked fat, and i love the pink boa. i'm so hindered by not having access to my full wardrobe here....)

olivia loved the pictures too. i made my blog public this week and olivia started one--she wants to send it to molly (the pics of her were a great way to start her day).

and the bigs start school today...

tell everyone we said hi=

I love flannel pj's too. Mine have fairy princesses on them. What are those white blobs on your? Flowers?

The tree is beautiful!

Yes, I got some good laughs out of this post too! Your writing style is very enjoyable...

Yes, Lori, the Blobs are flowers.
I blame the query on my camera (like everything else...)

I'd take a better picture to show you, but the pjs are en route to be exchanged for a smaller size. My daughter thought I was a Bigger Woman than I am. Again....the camera's fault.

In the case of the photo where you looked 8 ft tall (great effect, btw) I think it had more to do with the position of your photographer.

Love the pictures of Molly. The hat is clever!

You are right, the camera doesn't do that huge tree justice. I guess you just need a new camera!

I'm going with the "boas stuffed under the vest" explanation for the tiny bulge ... or perhaps it is that blasted camera.

Giving soon-to-expire coupons is like winning the Polish lottery -- we won it by the way -- one million dollars payable a dollar a year for a million years.

I got lots of boas too. They keep reappearing in every Christmas photo. It's a tradition.

you know that kind of camera is what they used in LOTR (lord of the rings) to get the right proportions between Frodo and Gandalf.

Before I read your comments I thought the image was strange.
