My newest grandson, Thomas - relaxing after his sweet, gentle 25 hr. home birth!
Her other two are very blond, like their Mom - but this one looks like he may favor
his dark-headed Dad. A brownie and two blondies. Perfect :)
Big brother, Cooper, holding his hours old baby brother.
Doesn't he look happy...and proud? (As if he had
anything to do with it...)
My daughter, the Mom, with Cooper, Adeline, and baby Thomas. I love how delighted big brother and sister look!
And doesn't Brite look amazing for having just birthed a baby ?!
She does not get that from me. I am HHM (high, high maintenance) and need lots of solitary rest and recuperation time (especially prior to photographs.)
Well, now that GrandBaby #3 is "out", we can move on to preparing for GrandBaby #4. My younger daughters and I took off for Savannah the morning after Thomas' birth in order to attend a baby shower for Jacqueline. This is only the second time I've seen her during this pregnancy. She was glowing! Pregnancy obviously agrees with her. We took this picture to send to her husband, who is deployed. He enjoys getting frequent pictorial updates of his wife and his "basketball".
The table was beautiful, the food was yummy - and Elijah even had his name on a plate.
I can't get the text to stay up by the other pictures (one weekend away and I've forgotten how to blog!!!), but one is obviously Jacqueline holding some hand-made bags; one to put her dirty cloth diapers in, and the other to hold hand-made wipes. (Gotta love the optimism of first-time moms! And no, she doesn't get that from me, either...)
The next to the last picture is of me (purposely trying to look fat so as not to make my daughter feel bad...) and her skinny, athletic, young-looking mother-in-law, Gina. She, and four of her daughters, drove 8 hours to come for one night of celebration - so we had to make it worth their while by staying up until 2 a.m. watching a Chick Flick and eating nachos and ice cream. The sacrifices mothers continue to make for their grown daughters!!

Yea! Welcome new babies! Thanks for posting pix. I looked for Brite's Facebook (or is it Myspace) but couldn't find it so I'm glad yOU posted pix. What a cutie with a head full of hair! Jacq .... (don't know how to spell her name ... oops) looks GREAT too! What fun you must be having.
Sweet. Just absolute sweetness. I love it!!!
i always try to look as fat a possible in photos so that everyone else looks skinny. i am just kind like that...
brite looks so GREAT and i try to dislike her for her near perfection, but find that i love her more and more... darn that near perfection of hers... it makes her perfectly wonderful...
and jacqs is a vision and i cannot wait to see elijah (did she really make fun of "leonard" with the name "elijah" in the mix)....
just kidding jaqs... it is a kind of cool name... if you are in a chariot...
He's beautiful!
It was wonderful to meet you (again) Monday-- and I've already made your blog (or at least my gifts have)! Jax told me about your blog and I have spent the morning enjoying your posts.
Sarah
Thanks for the pics! You are a blessed woman :-)
When is grandchild #4 due? Will you be there for the birth?
Lovely! Will Jacqueline's husband be home in time for the birth? If not, she should check into Operation Special Delivery (online). They provide a free volunteer doula for any mom having a baby whose spouse is deployed. I know because I am a volunteer with them.
Oh wait ... we forgot to freeze someone's bra! Next time, I guess!
BParrish, may I ask how you found my blog? (just wondering if you were searching for home birth...)
I love the design of your blog - and I could almost "cut and paste" your 15 things post and make it mine. Weird! :)
I am reading Baby Catcher right now and am LOVING it! I have been to many home births, and had my last biological baby at home.
(However, now that my daughters are doing it, It scares me... I guess it's true that you only get the grace for yourself, not others.)
thanks for stopping by. Please come again :)
In about 8 weeks I should have more grandbaby pics to share.
Hi Debby, I found your blog through my daughter, Erin Parrish Fielding, who knows Brite, Jacqueline and Shep through TeenPac. I have met your lovely offspring through this organization also. Erin sent me your blog address because she knew we were kindred spirits and I would enjoy keeping up...and I do!
OH, and many "un-certified" midwives also carry IV equipment and are skilled at using it. We attend workshops designed to teach such lovely stuff or have worked with a preceptor midwife who taught us those things. But since north GA is full of certified CPMs and TN is FULL of them, your daughter most likely used one of them.
Oh, he is so beautiful - for not being one of mine :)
Congratulations to your family. I know you are looking forward to grandbaby #4 as well.
congratulations to the new arrival!! Great pics!!! This is so sweet and awesome I can't wait till I'm a grandma!! :)
Ohhhhh.....I'm all weepy now after seeing the very sweet pictures of Master Thomas and his brother and sister admiring him! Congrats to Brite and her husband.....and to you, dear Debbie! :)
