More Corners

I'm tempted to do another "Let the pictures speak for themselves" post just so I won't have to use my brain or my fingers or any other body part tonight. Because I'm somnolent, to put it mildly. Slumberous would be more accurate.

Winston, who is rubbing my back as I type, said "Mom, why don't you ever blog during the day while we're at school?" He's such a smart (aleck) boy. This is the kind of deep thinking they teach him at the classical school.

Unfortunately, I have no answer for him.

Actually, I do. You see, Winston, Once upon a time I was stupid enough to agree to blog every day for an entire month. Call it a lapse in good judgment.

The first day of that month came and I was busy all the livelong day (but not because I was working on the railroad :) .... You do remember that song, don't you? (GrandMama, I'm sure you recognize it.) We used to sing it on long car rides, in the days before everyone had their own personal music device to selfishly entertain themselves.

But I digress from the question, "Why does Debbie blog so close to midnight?"

Anyways,it was late at night when I finally remembered to blog. So, there was no way I was going to blog again just 12 hours later. It's not like these posts just originate out of thin air, friends. It takes T-I-M-E for them to develop and hatch and evolve into something intelligent and entertaining (unlike this here one tonight.)

and So, I waited until that night to blog. Then the next day I knew that if I blogged early, no one would even see the post I'd put up the night before, so ...duh!... I waited until later to blog when people might actually read it.

And the beat goes on. And it's 11:10 and I'm just now blogging.

And I'd rather be in bed reading The Shack since I'm getting to a really good part and I've finally quit fuming about the author's ludicrous theology.

---AND my HOH is out of town so I can keep the light on as laaaaaate as I want, and I can put the fan on ultra-high and pull the down comforter over me, and I can sleep in the middle of the bed, and I can hit the snooze button 10 times if I want.

But I do miss him, of course. :)

Oh. My. Goodness.
I just had a GREAT IDEA. I will indeed let the pictures speak for themselves tonight.
Then tomorrow, about mid-day, I will post the captions.

Then perhaps the Curse of the Midnight Posts will be broken and we can all live happily ever after.

See you around lunch time~

I've heard a bit about "The Shack" having ludicrous theology. It is on my list (after I finish my current ADD and how they learn books).

Is your nice flat-screen t.v. in your fireplace?

BTW, my post says I posted at 10:48 but that is just when I started posting. My post got up after you left your last sweet remark.

Yes, I certainly remember that one. Did you also include "She'll be comin' 'round the mountain" on your long car trip? Or how about "There's a hole in the bucket?"

Look forward to your captions. I just love all the color in your home.

I think our next contest should have Winston's shoulder massage as the prize! No wonder you can be so insightful and humorous in your posts...that wonderful massage just stimulates your brain...no fair!!!

BTW, your long hallway is probably longer than my whole house!

Tomato sandwich, anytime.

You know, if you want to maintain your posting schedule, you could always write during the day -- either as a document (like Word) and copy and paste it in, or in Blogger and save as a draft -- and then publish according to your schedule, later. I do that often.

FYI: If you want to change the timestamp on a post, you can click on "post options," which is under the window where you type in your posts, and it will allow you to change the date and time to what you want. (I.e. whatever "later" is.)

Moriah, you're WAY TOO SMART to be hanging out with the likes of me.
(but I'll still take the tomato sandwich.)

Ya'll go to her blog and see the picture of the sandwich!

Oh...and she has some pictures of her kids there too :)
