Birthday Blog Hijacking

I just thought I'd let you blog readers in on a little secret: tomorrow, June 29th, is my Mom's birthday. And since she gave me her blog password I now have access to this little spot anytime I'd like. She will never change her password for fear that SHE will forget it, so I'm safe to sneak in here for a long, long time! I'll have to remember that next time I have something on my heart, or if I just need a place to vent.

But anyway, I digress. I can't think of anything better for you- her bloggie friends- to give her than a nice bloggie birthday comment. We all know how much she loves her some comments. :)

And in honor of my mother (and also because my card will not be arriving on time- darn those Sunday birthdays and surprise doctors appointments) I've posted a few pictures demonstrating her serving in various capacities: as a Mom, a grandmother, a faithful daughter, a sister, and not pictured is her as a loving wife (sorry Mom, I couldn't find any pictures of just you and dad...maybe we should have gotten you two a vacation alone instead of a surprise blog post). Even though I'm sure she won't like all of these pictures, I think you look great and it's even sweeter to remember all the events surrounding these photos. (I apologize in advance for the funky sizes and layouts...I'm obviously a newbie at this blogging thing.)

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Have a wonderful, full-of-joy, happy birthday!!!

I was thinking just the other day about how much I miss your daily blogging. :)

It's been fun to have these peeks into your life. You're an inspiration to me even though we've never met.

May this coming year be blessed in a multitude of ways!

What a very nice surprise! And Brite, how in the world did you know we were having shrimp salad? You must have ESP! Sorry I waited so long to check my blog today.
I have 3 returning campers - with their 7 loads of stinking, dirty laundry and their 100's of stories to tell. They're keeping me busy :)

I count sweet children, and sweet blog friends as two wonderful, yet undeserved blessings.

Brite- Fill in for me anytime, sweetheart.

Happy Birthday! I didn't know we were departing on such an auspicious day. I hope that bodes well for us (if I really believed in such things :)). Hope your day is pure loveliness.

Happy Birthday. Turning 29 on the 29th must be fun! Fifteen on the fifteenth wasn't very exciting. If we counted days of the year you could turn 46 on the 46th day of the year, like I will, but even that wouldn't make sense.

There, you can print this for a math lesson... Oh wait, it's Sunday. Save it for tomorrow...

Well, Debbie, this is the only primarily personal blog (read: you don't make a point to cater to an audience that you don't know, and you talk a lot about your family and post a lot of pictures of them) that I follow closely. Point being: you are an interesting, fun person, and a fabulous writer, and I have really enjoyed to get these little peeks into your life. Thanks for sharing yourself with all of us on the world wide web! Happy Birthday!

P.S. Don't you just have the sweetest kid ever to think of this??

Shrimp salad? One of my favorites! Are we invited? Who made it? What's the recipe? Do share!

Happy Birthday Debbie (and Brite!) I loved your post celebrating Brite's 30 years. So touching. And, I know it's been said, but you all really are an inspirational family! I love that you love your husband so deeply, still, and that you love motherhood and children, and that you are willing to live by your convictions, but still have a great sense of humor. I sincerely wish you both a grace-filled year.
PS - I also admire you for writing a blog. Writing is hard! Don't let anyone make you feel bad for not writing enough. I don't know how anyone does it at all. Actually, I don't even like commenting. I am only commenting as a birthday present to you. Aren't you lucky!? :)

Hope you had a great birthday! Sorry I didn't comment before today.... I tend to slack off on my blog-stalking responsibilities over the weekend.
